The pathology laboratory is a major strength of Shashwat hospital because of 3 pathologist who give provide coverage to the laboratory round the clock. It has a fully automated haematology analyser & a biochemical analyser.
The laboratory also has a blood gas & electrolyte analyser.
The pathologist are experts in histopathological examination & culture
sensitivity testing.
The laboratory functions 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
All routine & highly specialized test like Hormone assay, tumour marker & immunological tests are performed here.

2nd floor of Shashwat hospital is dedicated to operative procedures.
Reserving a complete floor ensures maintenance of sterile zone.
It has three operation theatres.
Operation theatre no1 is reserved for procedures requiring very high sterility standards like Intra-ocular lenses implant, joint replacement procedures & other major clean surgeries.
Operation theatre 2 is for all other major surgical procedures.
Operation theatre no 3 is for endoscopies & minor surgical procedures.
There is a recovery room in which patient is closely observed for few hours following the surgery.
This floor also has a fully equipped labour room with facility for non stress test monitoring to know well being of the baby during the labour. |

The labour room is on the second floor & is very well equipped with Non stress test monitoring facility to ensure safety of the baby during the period of labour. The neonatal resuscitation trolley has all the facilities for taking care of the babies who need help & support immediately after being born in this world. Labour room is on the same floor as that of the operation theatres which is a great advantage during obstetric emergencies when the baby gets distressed & minutes are important when they need to come out by caeserian section.

| Intesive care unit |
The intensive care unit has round the clock doctors who are fully trained in the procedures that are done in the intensive care unit. They maintain a good rapport with the primary physicians.
The ICU is centrally air conditioned with supply channels of oxygen, suction & air for each bed. All the beds of have multi-parameter monitors with central monitoring facility.
The main ICU has 6 beds & 2 special rooms:
The ICU is equipped with 2 invasive ventilators which comply to international standards. A BiPAP ventilator can take care of patients requiring non invasive ventilation. The biphasic defibrillator & AED are available for revival of a disastrous heart complications. The ICU has equipment & expertise for emergency internal & external pacing. |

The High dependency units or step down ICU has four beds to take care of patients requiring moderate level of care. |
